[dropcap]E[/dropcap]very year about this time, we pause to give thanks for the many blessings we have in our lives. We stopped to take a breath before the busy holiday season starts the very next day.
For some, it might be new friends or a new relationship. You might be thankful for your job – getting one or keeping one. You might be thankful for family – near and far. You might be thankful for your health – beating cancer, losing weight, running a marathon or half-marathon.
Thankfulness is a matter of the heart. We choose to be thankful and grateful. So I ask you, what are you thankful for this year?
I am thankful for…
- Family
- Friends
- Accomplishing my First Half-Marathon
- Health — even though I am on a journey to lose 85 pounds
- My job – busy, but good
- My vacation time – I am lucky enough to have gone on vacation this year to rest, relax, learn and rejuvenate.
During this season, one that is often overlooked in pursuit of the best deal possible, I encourage you to look at the linings of your year and to find what you are thankful for and to share it with others.
