I am so excited to announce that I am launching my virtual book club today and it is absolutely free! Dave’s Book Club will explore a variety of subjects including faith, career, design, health and wellness, biography, psychology and the list continues. Each year, I attempt to read between 45 and 60 books in addition to listening to podcasts, reading magazines and blog posts.
The idea of a book club is not new and I can’t even take credit for the idea. Pat Flynn launched his own book club and that’s where I got the idea. I have got some great book ideas from him and I would be amiss if I didn’t give him the credit for this idea…so sign up for mine and his!
How The Book Club Will Work?
The book club will be an email delivered to you on the 15th of each month beginning on September 15th. Each month, you will receive a new book recommendation and quick explanation of the book as well as a couple of ideas for putting the book’s information into practice.
Each book will be tagged with a category such as work, career, religion, life, etc. These tags will help guide your choices if you are looking for something in particular.
How Can I Sign Up for the Book Club?
I am so glad you asked. You can sign up for the club by clicking here and you will be taken to the Book Club sign up page.
What’s the First Book?
The first book that will be making its way to you on September 15th is The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. Randy was a professor and Carnegie Mellon University in their Computer Science program. He died way too young, but spent the last year of his life writing his legacy that would be good for his kids and it turns out is applicable for each of us. This was a life-changing book for me.
Don’t miss out – sign up for my book club today — and don't forget its absolutely free! If you know other’s who would love to read and would like to find some new books, please share this announcement with them and then you can read them together.
