Memorial Day 2014

Today, in the United States, people stop to remember the sacrifice of our men and women who fight for our freedom. Each day they go into battle to defend this wonderful nation and our allies.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery is always under the watchful eye of its caretakers. All over the United States and abroad our soldiers are buried for their sacrifice.

Our men and women serve in times of peace and war. We pray each day, these brave soldiers return home to the waiting arms of their family. During my recent trip to Washington D.C., I observed some WWII veterans who came to pay respects to those who had perished during the other wars (Vietnam & Korea). We owe these men and women a debt of gratitude.

Here are some reminders of the sacrifice of our active duty military and those whom have gone before them:

Today, let’s remember the men and women who gave their service, and even their lives, for our freedom.
