Yesterday, we cut loose and had some fun following Will and the water balloon fun. Today, we take a look at the idea of friendship through the eyes of a young boy and girl.

This picture is reminiscent of the Kim Anderson pictures that adorn the greeting cards in your local drugstore. I was always fascinated with the elegance of those pictures – a black and white photograph with just a hint of color as an accent that showed up in a red rose.
While walking around the courtyard clearing my head and trying to find something new and creative to capture, I drifted behind this young boy and girl that struck up a conversation. The young boy is the grandson of the church planter we were working with in the courtyard area. I am not sure where the little girl lives, but she just appeared on the landscape and they began talking.
This picture is part of a larger project featuring this young boy and girl that will appear here on the blog sometime in the future. As they conversed, he walked and she rode the bike, and then they would get sidetracked and look at the Jolly Jumper or other kids playing.
Sometimes I wonder if it is that easy to strike up friendships with girls as we get older. They seem so carefree. No worries. No pressure. Just two friends talking – sounds like fun, doesn't it?!
Tomorrow, we are headed back to the Czech Republic Family Camp to enjoy the beauty and majesty of a sunset.
