After spending some time in Pskov, Russia with benches and portraits, we head to Prague in the Czech Republic for today's photograph.
I love Prague and Eastern European cities. There is a majesty and beauty of older architecture that pre-dates our western society in the America's.
This picture is from a bridge that passes from downtown Prague towards the famous castle and cathedrals that are world-renowned.

The day was absolutely gorgeous. The sun was shining, the sky was a deep blue and a few clouds were hanging around just to provide a little dramatic cover.
Earlier in the day, the clouds had provided a blanket over the city of Prague and I feared that the picture of Prague I would get, would be devoid of any blue sky. However, I was wrong.
As I stood on the bridge, I scanned the horizon for the moment that would adequately encapsulate the city and its beauty. I took several pictures that included the masses of people that occupied the bridge I stood upon, but it did not seem to capture the essence of Prague.
Prague is known for its history including castles, majestic buildings, and its river. I wanted that picture.
While jumping back and forth from each side of the bridge to decide on my picture, I saw this passenger boat motoring through the waterway. I followed it from its launching point and then as it passed by the river logs, I took this picture. Before the boat, the picture was still good, but the boat adds a “sense of life” to this historic city.
I hope you have enjoyed Prague and its storied past.
