It's 2:30am and I am awaking after a busy weekend of running, painting, and writing. My muscles are sore, but there is no time to ponder the pain as I have to ready myself for my trip to Salt Lake City. These one day trips which end about 18-20 hours after they begin are brutal, but necessary.
Today, I am heading out with another colleague for a quick trip to discuss facilities related items. I relish the fact that I will get about two hours each way of uninterrupted “me” time to read, write, and sleep depending on what my “to-do” list looks like.
For as much trouble as I am making it out to seem, the simple fact is that I love to travel. Salt Lake City is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. It is nestled in the mountains and they invite its visitors and residents to come and play and get lost in its beauty. As we leave the Los Angeles area, we are reminded of the beauty of having breath for one more day as the sun rises in the east. Nothing beats that view from 20,000 feet.
See you on the flip side!
