Closed Doors

It's funny, how, when you make a challenge with God, things creep into your life that would cause you to become distracted.  Lose focus  Lose the prize you seek.

In my one-year challenge, I committed before God that I would spend the next year preparing for what's next.  I will soon be 36 years old and you would think that I would have it all figured out by now, but I don't.  I am working on becoming Mr. Right instead of looking for Miss Right.

It's funny, I spent the week at the Czech Family Camp and it is interesting that even in that place I could be a little distracted in regards to this challenge.  I think that something could go my way, and then very clearly, the Lord slams that door in my face.

No open window.

No cracked door.

But God saying…don't let the door hit you in the nose.

The moral to this story…don't get in the way of what God wants to to do in your life.

Don't try to jump ahead of Him.

Don't try to help Him out.

He has a much better plan then I could ever imagine or conceive.
