[Written on my trip out to Charlottesville, VA]
As I sit aboard my plane bound for Washington DC, my neighbor is encroaching into my typing space. The person in front of me has his seat nearly in my lap and God has graciously allowed the baby in the row behind me to be sound asleep.
It is just after 2am and I think I have the only reading lamp turned on. I love this time on red-eye flights. It is quiet and you can steal a few minutes to just relax and read or write.
Somewhere between the encroaching plane neighbor and the seat in my lap sits a little 11″ Macbook Air that affords me a wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts. The best part is the battery life is ridiculously long. The ergonomics of the whole situation is not optimal, but hey, that's the price of air travel these days.
Well…it is probably time for me to turn my little reading light off and catch a few allusive Zzzz's before I hit the ground running in DC at the photo festival.
