**Written in St. Petersburg, Russia**
Yesterday in St. Petersburg, we were headed to the downtown area for a time of sightseeing and hanging out with the youth. When we have a chance we take local transport & this time we took the metro. Now we are always on our guard. We have to be extra vigilant when we travel.
We were fine until we were getting on our transfer train near downtown St. Petersburg. It's not uncommon to have pushing occur on the train as you enter (usually it happens more in Moscow). I grabbed my camera and hung on for dear life. Unfortunately, Jim got picpocketed. They grabbed his wallet with his cards & money in it. Some of the youth and pastor got their pursuit on, and even caught one of the guys, but he didn't have the wallet. The good news is: we are safe and sound. Money can be replaced, but our lives cannot.
This is a reminder for each of us to continue to be a little more watchful.
