Yesterday, I announced that change was in the air as it relates to this blog. I have been following Tentblogger's series – Ultimate Guide to Launching a WordPress-Powered Blog – and it has inspired me to change a few things. However, I am not a code monkey. Some of the php call outs and just finding the right .htaccess file have thrown me for a loop (no code pun intended)!
I realized that I have something to say, and I want to share it with all of you. I might only have a few visitors right now, but I want to grow that number.
I desire to make a difference in the world as the millennial generation asserts (I am a Gen-Xer, but close enough). In 2011, I am trying something new. I have headed back to school for a short certificate program, been engaging the Middle Schoolers at our church in new ways (also here), and now I am tackling a little bit of coding. Let's not go crazy folks. Baby steps, baby steps!
This blog will be moving to a new web address that identified more closely with the tag line of this blog – Snapshots of Everyday Life. It will have themes of photography, faith, design, books, and travel. Each of these themes is part of who I am, and I want to ask you to come along for the journey. Until I switch over, this will be my main hub of activity. Thanks for being part of this community and I look forward to what is going to happen in 2011.
