The Digital “Word”

Over the past year, I have been engaging with God's Word less frequently in the traditional (paper) form, and more frequently in the digital realm.  This is a great way to interact with God's Word.

When I was traveling, I would have my iPad which doubled as my Bible and my email, web, twitter, etc client.  I use the Bible App from YouVersion as my main “digital” reading device.  I also have Logos Bible Software on my iPad, but the YouVersion Bible App is simple and easy to use.

As an Elder, I realize that the way individuals are interacting with scripture is not how it was done even five years ago.  People are reading the Bible on their smartphones or iPads.  We want people to engage with God's Word, and we want to help you get the Bible for free.  You can get your copy of the Bible on your smartphone, by heading to this page.  That's it.  Get a link emailed to you or visit the site right from your phone.  I hope that you will engage with God's Word more during this year as a result of having it with you wherever you go.

Are you interested in reading thru the Bible in a year? Well, they have plans for that as well.  Check out YouVersion.com to get started!
