This afternoon was one of those amazing California sunsets. I was busy working in my room and then looked out my window to see the afternoon sun bouncing off the house next door and the adjacent palm tree. So…I grabbed my camera, ran out back and snapped a few shots. Here was that shot:
As I was working with the image, I realized the picture was not matching up with what I envisioned. I saw the deep rich sunlight bouncing off the tree and house. As I began to tweak a few of the sliders, the image slowly developed into my vision. V-I-S-I-O-N is necessary! It is not an after thought, but rather a fore-thought.
Vision helps us achieve success. If success is the end result then vision is the path to achievement.
The above image did not come out of the camera looking that deep and rich – it did take some work. Below is the before and after of the above image.
This week, I encourage you to take some time to explore your vision. Your vision can be a photograph or something in your life that you want to change in 2011.
Question: What would you have done with this picture?
