Inside-Out Change

For about a month, we have been steadly working on a project in one of our oldest tin buildings on our campus.  Each time we encounter people who say, “I don't want to go work in the tool shed.”  That is a fair statement.  From the outside the building is old, aged and in need of a little TLC, but the inside has been magnificantly transformed into a glorious space.

Just as the inside of that building was transformed into a new space, so are our hearts transformed when God gets a hold of our hearts and changes us.  Heart construction is not smooth.  It is messy – there is demolition – as the old is wiped away.  The construction efforts are exciting.  As our heart transforms and becomes more like Christ, the outside is transformed.  The outside effort can take awhile, but the inside, when it is done is absolutely magnificent.

The outside does not always reflect the work that is being done on the inside until it is viewed.  Look inside!
