It's been quite awhile since I sat down at this computer and tapped a few keys. My life has exploded. I am crazy busy. I eat, sleep & breathe work right now. Yesterday, however, was a little different. I attended a bible study at my work. It's sort of an off-the-grid kinda thing, but it was nice to fellowship with other believers.
So. . .we looked at Gideon in Judges 7. I love Gideon. He was an incredible man. He threw down the fleece for a sign from God & each time God showed him His power & His presence. In Judges 7, God calls him to go & defeat the Midianites, but He says that he has too many men – 32,000 men to be exact. God widdles it down to 300 of Gideon's closest friends to go take on the Midianites in this valley.
Why did Gideon trust God that He was going to deliver him, because he saw what God had done in the past. Sometimes we lose track of the path. Sometimes we lose sight of the end goal. But God never does. He steers us, points us in the right direction so that when we look in the rear-view mirror we see how God grew our faith. Why did Gideon trust God? Because he saw how God had delivered him in the past.
Take a look in the rear-view mirror & see what God has done for you!
