This morning on my way into work I was listening to Perry Noble from Newspring Church preach on "how beautiful they are" & "why they should not be with crumbs" – that would be guys that women should not be dating. So it made me think – am I a crumb? Do I treat women with respect & let them know how beautiful they are, even if I am not dating them.
The truth is as a believer, we are called to love our brothers & sisters. Our "sisters in Christ" should be told that they are beautiful, and not just the outward beauty, but the inward beauty as well. Sometimes I think that, as guys, because we are such visual creatures that we get wrapped up in the outward beauty. The truth is, yeah – I like outward beauty, but I also like the inward beauty.
Perry talked about how man was fashioned from the dirt, but women were "made special" not from the dirt, but from something more special. He related this story of watching his little girl eat crumbs off the ground and challenged the women by saying "why are you with a crumb when you can have a feast"?
The question is – am I a crumb or a feast or somewhere in between? I certainly don't want to be a crumb! May we all be reminded to tell the one's we love or care about or dating or like or whatever you have how special & beautiful they are.
