L-O-V-E. . . Samaritan Woman

What I love about Jesus is that He loves us enough to not leave us where we are at. If He didn't care, He wouldn't have died on the cross, and rose again the third day. That's LOVE! That's sacrifice!

My heart is always drawn to the story of Jesus & the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. Jesus engages this woman in conversation, asking her if she wants living water – water that you will quench your thirst for a lifetime. She wants this water. Jesus wants to give her this water & instructs her to go get her husband. Now here lies a twist in the story – she has no husband – to which Jesus replies – you are correct, you have had five & you live with a guy who isn't your husband. She is astonished at this revelation.

Now where am I going with this – track with me – Jesus does not condemn her for her past mistakes. He meets her in this moment, shows her the past, BUT says I have a better alternative for you – Follow ME! I love you. I will show you love that none of these other men have been able to show you. My love will last forever – the love, you currently think you have, is only temporary.

At the end of this story, she runs & tells everyone to come and meet “this man” who knew everything about her. That day many were saved. Jesus' love is far reaching – it is permanent, it is strong, it is amazing, and He will love you as know one else can.
