This morning I went to church with a friend and the message was taken out of Ecclesiatestes 3 and as I sit in the airport awaiting my red-eye to Chicago, I was struck by verse 11 that reads "He has made everything beautiful in its time." So many interpretations could be made for this verse based on where we are on our spiritual journey. For me, as I survey the landscape, I am blessed in so many ways the least of which is monetary.
God has given me the opportunity to travel for business to many wonderful places – this year alone I will traveled close to 20,000 miles (too bad they are not all on the same airline). I have been blessed to have a wonderful family who loves God and gives Him praise. My brother and his girlfriend are doing well. I have been blessed with a new friendship that is turning into a new relationship. I am always blessed by my friends.
"He has made everything beautiful in His time" – how profound. When I think about this time – it is certainly beautiful – not always easy, but beautiful none-the-less. Sometimes I easily forget the beauty of a day when people are yelling at me for things or I am running behind on deadlines or my vendors areen't producing as fast as I think they should. There is a season for everything and "His" timing is perfect – ours not so much, but "His" is exactly what we need when we need it. I forget this far too often.
So this week when life throws us a curveball or we become full of anxiety (like I am now) because I don't have everything mapped out like I want it mapped out – I need to come back to these words in Ecclesiatstes 3:11 – "He has made everything beautiful in its time" – may this week be filled with moments such as these. Be a blessing to someone this week.
