The alarm jolts me out of a dead sleep at 5:15am – I have a tendancy to miss my alarm so I now set two (one for music & one on blackberry). As I finally muster the strength to get out of bed, the time read 5:38am. I quickly put my running gear on, grab my Garmin Forerunner, Fuelbelt, keys and whatever else I need for the morning run and head over to meet my friend. By 6:10am, we begin our run. Today, I wanted to do a little longer run (needed to be alone with my thoughts, as well as God). By 7am, I am snapping a pic of Newbury Park and heading back to the car so I can quickly get into work for 10am meeting.
By the afternoon, everything seems to take a sharp left and I pick up steam – trying to negotiate internal office space where there doesn't seem to be any, probably not making any friends in the process. Suddenly, an email from a friend who just wanted to say "hi". Sometimes you just need those moments and God grants you those moments. By 5:45pm, I am rolling out of the parking lot into the "other" parking lot – the freeway. Off to a friend's daughter's talent show. A quick stop at In-N-Out on the way home. A little relax time with my friends family & now I am off to bed.
Tomorrow is another day & hopefully it won't be as busy. Good Night.
