The Woman at the Well

Yesterday, I read the story of the Samaritan woman's encounter with Jesus at the well in John 4.  I think this is one of may favorite stories in the Bible (next to Esther & Samuel & David – okay and a few others).  I was talking with a pastor friend the other night and he was reading through this passage, so I decided to go on over and revisit it.  I love the fact that Jesus does not condemn her, He tells her everything about herself and what does she do – she leaves the water jug, bolts back to the town and tells everyone.  Then they come running out to meet this man.  John 4:42 sums it up – "They said to the woman, ‘First, we believed in Jesus because of what you said, but now we believe because we heard him ourselves.  We know that this man really is the Savior of the world.'"

I found this clip on YouVersion.com and then scooted on over to GodTube and it is just fantastic.
