(Old Post from 2007)
This weekend I enjoying a retreat with some friends in the mountains and since it is still winter, a dusting of white blanketed the landscape so that when we awoke, we awoke to the beauty of a clean beginning. I can’t help but think of what Christ does for us when He enters our lives and washes our sins away. He starts us fresh and new wiping our hearts clean from all the junk that has been dumped in our hearts. As I sit in a comfortable chair looking out over the lake and seeing the white, I am reminded of the joy of second chances and of rebirth. How exciting it is to realize that God’s love for us is new every morning and that simple reminders of snow blankets can awaken our hearts to remember when we first believed. It seems the “Aa Ha” moments are closer together these days then when I first believed, but then that’s what 25 years of faith in Christ should do for you. As I grow older, I recognize the sweet blessings of the days more and I realize that God has a divine plan for each of us and He is concerned with the details of our lives, not just the vision. How sweet is to know that we mean that much to God. Ever Wonder . . . was written as a reminder to me that God allows certain events to occur in our lives in order that we may receive a blessing if we just choose to act. Each day is a blessing, are you seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary?
