Brutal Honesty

Last nite after worship rehearsal, my best friend and I were able to go to Chili's, hang out and reconnect with what was going on in each other's lives. The thing that I appreciate more than anything is how honest I can be with him. The essence of accountability is that you are being transparent – transparent when things are good and transparent when you mess up. I can be this way in front of him, as much as it hurts sometimes, and know that he still is there for me. It helps me become a better person, and that is what I am most thankful for.
