Under Attack

Tonight I find myself somewhat curled up with about three layers of clothing on trying to beat down a cold with some foul tasting ZyCam. Every part of my body aches and cries out for warmth, the retreat to a hot shower, and the trappings of a warm place to lie down. Through this I realize that Satan strategically pursues us and attacks at our weakest moments. I feel the spiritual warfare insuing in my body and yet there is God with a gentle arm around me. A cloak of covering to guard against the evil one and despite all this I still struggle with almost giving in to temptation. I wonder how many others out there feel the pursuit of the evil one and give in. Often times we stay and fight when we should flee and we flee when we should fight. It is my prayer for each of you, that God will surround you and give you wisdom to know the difference to flee and fight. When the walls of life seem to surround you in every which way, don’t forget to look up and cry out to God, because He really does have you in the palm of His Hand, even when we don’t feel like it.

  1. It’s funny – I put this up last nite and my dad called today wanting to know if I was feeling alright. This was from a year ago – I should prefaced that – but thanks for the encouragement none-the-less.
