Steelcase's Workspace Futures Group has participated in a 15 month research study regarding the interiors of banking spaces. They illustrate the new and innovated spaces in their latest 360 ezine story entitled “Branching Out“.
The innovative research findings stipulate that the growing trend with some banks is to present a more “Starbucks” feel to ease patrons. Ideas such as welcome centers complete with coffee bars, courtesy plasma screens, manned and unmanned reception stations, and of course – teller windows that are user-friendly.
Business can learn a lot from the design concepts for higher education, and now, the financial industry is following suit and taking a page from the retail industry with its warm, friendly environments. Check out the story to see what all the buzz is about.
