Goals

About seven weeks ago, I was tired of being “Fat Dave” and I started working with a coach. After four weeks of eating less and working out harder then I have in the past seven years combined – I finally saw some rewards – 24 pounds gone!

I continue to drop the weight, slowly, but what I am gaining is my love for working out – whether it is a long run in the hills or a mountain bike ride with friends or even lifting weights. I found myself under the weather the past couple of days, and as much as I enjoy sitting around, I am craving working out. I want to go lift weights. I think my body is trying to tell me something, and I'm to stubborn to listen, and now I don't have a choice.

Goals. . . are great. When we have them, they challenge us. When we achieve them, we are excited. When we set new ones, we dig deep to find how strong we really are. Goals are just one way for us to see the “real” us.
