Graduate Leadership

This past week, I dropped into my local Family Christian Store and started purusing the book racks and came across several books that I can't wait to start reading. Titles that I picked up included Max Lucado‘s “You! God's Brand-New Idea” and “Everyday Deserves a Chance” as well as John Maxwell's “Leadership Principles for Graduates“. If you enjoyed the recent movie “Facing the Giants” by Sherwood Pictures then you will enjoy their first picture entitled “Flywheel“.

After making a purchase I jetted on over to a housesitting gig I had a took “Leadership Principles for Graduates”. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Approximately 80 pages later, I had no choice and had to put it down or I would not make my next appointment. If you are wondering what to get your graduate this year, whether from high school or college check out this book. Here are some highlights. . .

  • Success takes work – everyday
  • You can't do it alone – you need a team (learn to be a team player)
  • Don't be afraid to dream big – there is untapped potential inside of you
  • Countless quotes and stories of success

Enjoy this quote from the book — “Success is not measured by what a man accomplishes, but by the opposition he has encountered, and the courage with which he has maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.” — Charles Lindbergh (p. 61)
